Goals and Tips for Staying on Track




  • Drink lots of water. 64 oz or more per day is ideal. Water is the best thing you can drink.

  • Get plenty of sleep. Try to get 7 or 8 hours of sleep each night. Being well rested will ensure you're not looking for extra energy from food.

  • Consult your Health Care Practitioner regularly. Your HCP can provide you with help, ideas, motivation, progress checks, and improved results.

  • Think about, and then decide on your goals. Your weight goal, your exercise goal, where you want to be in 6 months or a year. Setting goals then reaching them is a powerful motivator!

  • Fill out the Goals section at the beginning of the Patient Guide. Set yourself up for success!

  • Plan your meals in advance. If you stick to a pre-planned shopping list, there is less of a possibility of impulse buying.

  • Shop on a full stomach. It is easier to make the right choices when you aren't hungry!!

  • Remove as much non-recommended food items as practical from your home. Avoid temptation whenever possible.

  • When eating out, order a meal without danger foods like French fries or rice. It is easier to avoid it if it is not on your plate.

  • Eat half a KetogenX Bar before you go out to eat. It is easier to make the right food choices when you aren't hungry.

  • Familiarize yourself with the Allowable Food List so that you can easily recognize them on a menu. If you are not sure of the ingredients of a dish, ask your waiter or waitress to tell you.

  • Ask for all dressings and sauces to be served on the side. Instead of creamy salad dressings, try vinaigrette. Be aware of the hidden ingredients and sugars that can be included in many sauces.
